From October 21 to 24, 2019, the international competition-festival “The Baltic Constellation” was held in St. Petersburg, where a fourth-year student of the department “Pedagogy of Choreography” Togzhan Moldalim took part. The leader and tutor of the program is the senior lecturer of the department “Directing choreography” D. D. Urazymbetov.

            At the competition, T. Moldalim performed two choreographic compositions staged by D. Urazymbetov: “Swallow and Rain” to the music of S. Alipbekuly and “Mood of the Soul” to the music of S. Turysbekov. Among the jury members were prominent artists, reputable educators, directors and theater leaders. Among them were the National Artist of Russia, Assistant to the Rector of the Moscow Art Theater, and Laureate of the Golden Mask, the highest theater award in Russia, Albert Galichanin, Maria Keikhel, teacher of the Boris Eifman Dance Academy and Anna Sitnikova, senior lecturer at the Department of Choreography at St. Petersburg State University of Cinematography, founder of the Russian theater “Moroshka”.

            T. Moldalim received the title of laureate of the 1st degree in two nominations “Folk dance” and “Folk stylized dance”, and also won a special prize from the organizers of the festival.
