On October 9, a seminar on organizing startups and participating in startup projects was held in the cinema hall of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov. The event brought together teachers, doctoral students, master’s students and students interested in startups and willing to develop their own projects.
The seminar was opened by the Vice-Rector for Research of the Academy, Kabyl Zamanbekovich Khalykov, who introduced the main speaker – Associate Professor of the Department of Art Management and Production, PhD in Economics Kuat Mananabaevich Musabayev.
In his speech, Kuat Mananabaevich covered in detail the problems associated with startup legislation. He emphasized that startups that do not produce a finished product are usually not registered as legal entities or individual entrepreneurs. One of the key topics of the report was the discussion of new platforms for startups, which are increasingly located in the metaworld – the Internet.
Special attention was paid to sources of funding: government grants, venture funds, accelerators, incubators, as well as attracting investors. The speaker emphasized the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of a startup idea in order to avoid the risk of its leakage and use by others.
The scientific and editorial department of the Academy took on the organization of the seminar.
