From November 21 to November 25, 2022 at the Faculty of Cinema and TV. department “Direction Screen Arts\u201d with the support of the Goethe-Institut Almaty, a master class on documentary films was held by the famous German director Uli Gaulke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 During the five days of the master class, the director told the students about the essence of documentary filmmaking, the importance of storytelling in modern documentaries, shooting and editing techniques, how to write a documentary film’s grimming and how to prepare a teaser for pitching.  The entire master class was built on theory, supported by visual materials, and in this way it was easier for students to perceive information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0As part of the master class, students showed their course documentaries and received professional feedback from the director. \u00a0Uli Gaulke was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the films and noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 that he would be interested in working with<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 some of the projects in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The master class had a positive impact on students who were inspired by fresh knowledge and ideas.  Future directors who saw a clear example of success in documentaries.  expanded the horizons of understanding their profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
