PLENARY SESSION<\/strong> of the International Congress of Culture and Art Workers<\/strong> “TURKIC CULTURE: COMMON ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT VARIATIONS”,<\/strong> dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Temirbek Zhurgenov<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first day of the Congress, May 30, 2023, a Plenary session was held, which was opened by the rector of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts Azamat Satybaldy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the opening of the Congress, a documentary film about Temirbek Zhurgenov was shown (direction and editing – Raiymbek Alzhanov, teacher of the Department of History and Film Theory of KazNAA named after Temirbek Zhurgenov).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plenary session was chaired by Amirbekov Sharipbek Agabayevich<\/strong>, vice-rector for educational and methodological work of Temirbek Zhurgenov KazNAA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the plenary session, presentations were made by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Svanibor Pettan<\/strong>, President of ICTM, Chairman of the Research Group on Music and Minorities, University of Ljubljana, Professor of the Faculty of Arts (Musicology) made presentation on the topic \u201cICTM and scholars from Turkic-speaking countries\u201d (Slovenia). In his report, Svanibor Pettan spoke about the work of the International Council of Traditional Music (ICTM), which includes representatives of such Turkic-speaking countries as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gokdag Ebru<\/strong>, PhD, Anadolu University (Turkey) made the report on the topic “Ankara Experimental Theater and its efforts to revive the traditions of the peasant theater.” Gokdag Ebru noted in her speech that the invitation to participate in this International Congress not only highlights the importance of cultural exchange and cooperation, but also provides a valuable platform for scientists and artists to come together and explore the richness and diversity of Turkic culture. She gave information about two theatrical traditions that exist in Turkey: the folk theater tradition and the peasant theater tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
