17-21, November 2025, T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts held the annual Languages Week \u201cART Talks: the Essentials\u201d<\/em>, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages and APK under the guidance of the head of the department Associate Professor Zh.S. Kanlybaeva. The purpose of Language Week is to develop a multilingual educational environment, strengthen intercultural interaction, and reveal the creative potential of students.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

On November 17, 2025 the opening ceremony of the Languages week \u201cART Talks: the Essentials\u201d<\/em> took place, featuring poetry readings, vocal and dance performances, instrumental pieces, and interactive language games. All student performances demonstrated a wide variety of artistic forms within the context of multilingualism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 18, 2025 an intellectual game \u201cAll-round English Quiz\u201d<\/em> was held among three teams of 1st- and 2nd-year students. The purpose of the quiz is to increase the interest in learning English and to develop the cognitive activity of the students. Participants answered questions from six categories: Art<\/em>, World Landmarks<\/em>, Holidays and Traditions<\/em>, Great Celebrities<\/em>, My Country \u2013 Kazakhstan<\/em>, and English-speaking Countries<\/em>.
1st place \u2013 \u201cSahna Light\u201d (female students)
2nd place \u2013 \u201cBad Boys\u201d (male students)
3rd place \u2013 \u201cMusic\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 19, 2025 the contest \u201cArt Talks: the Essentials\u201d<\/em> was held for 1st-year students of A2\u2013B1 English levels. The aim of the contest was to demonstrate how English can be used to expresse  students\u2019 personal views on art and culture. According to the jury (Alken Metov, Maria Orlova, Darya Evdokimenko, Damilya Sarsenbekova), the winners were:
1st place \u2013 Yudzhe Nika
2nd place \u2013 Karimova Aiaru
3rd place \u2013 Uskenbayev Altair
Audience Choice Award \u2013 Qapasova Zhayna<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 20, 2025 an informational seminar on academic mobility \u201cGo Global\u201d<\/em> was held for 2nd-year students (A2\u2013B1 levels). The goal was to inform students about international opportunities, motivate them to unlock their potential, and inspire them to become competitive specialists through global experience. Three invited students who had previously studied abroad on this program shared their experience. The seminar was held in an interactive format, where students actively asked questions and participated in discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 21, 2025 As part of the Language Week, first, second, and third-year students gathered in the traditional “Art Lounge” to share thoughts on the theme: “The Most Important Thing We Concern about.” The speakers not only delivered insightful presentations but also resonated strongly with the audience. The event was a perfect example of how a warm environment fosters engaging discussions and leads to a new understanding of important topics. The communication was in three languages: English, Kazakh, and Russian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Language Week has become a tradition of the Department of Foreign Languages and Assembly of People of Kazakhstan at the Academy. Every year the event is filled with new content and contributes to the development of students as individuals capable of intercultural communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
