At the III Republican Student Short Film Festival \u201cSHABYT CINEMA\u201d held in Astana, students of the Faculty of Cinema and Television were named among the winners. This year, 40 films were submitted to the competition program.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Best Film award was presented to Adil Kabizhanov, director of the fiction film \u201cUmit\u201d and a 2024-2025 graduate of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts. The winner was also honored with a special prize from the film company \u201cAlem Empire.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best Screenplay award went to the film \u201cIn My Grandfather\u2019s Village in Summer\u201d by Amir Kaken, a 4th-year student majoring in Fiction Film Directing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best Sound Directing award was received by the film \u201cFollowing a Friend\u201d by Korkem Bekbasheva, a 1st-year Master\u2019s student in Directing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best Trailer prize was awarded to the film \u201cMy Name is Kozha\u201d by Zhanabay Beibarys, a 2nd-year student of Fiction Film Directing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jas \u00f2ner Magazine Award was also presented to Academy student and young director Myrza Makhambet for the fiction film \u201cArunaz.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival is an important creative platform that helps young talents take their first steps into the professional field. We wish the new generation of filmmakers more meaningful, profound, and inspiring works that resonate with audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
