The Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Design invites you to participate in the round table<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLIFE AND LEGACY: THE ARTIST\u2019S HERITAGE\u201d,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

which will take place on April 14, 2026, at 12:00 at: 127 Panfilov Street, Almaty<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Professor, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, prominent painter Mukhit Galimovich Kalimov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mukhit Kalimov (1931\u20132002) was a distinguished representative of Kazakh fine arts, educator, and professor. He made a significant contribution to the development of the national school of painting, working in landscape, portrait, and genre compositions. His notable works include: \u201cBabalar,\u201d \u201cAbylai Khan,\u201d \u201cSyrym Batyr,\u201d \u201cIsatai-Makhambet,\u201d \u201cMurat Akyn,\u201d \u201cKurmangazy,\u201d \u201cKairan Sheshem,\u201d \u201cGani Muratbayev,\u201d and \u201cAuezov and Ch. Aitmatov.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose of the round table:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To provide an art historical analysis of the artist\u2019s creative legacy and define his role in national culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. discussion of his artistic heritage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. analysis of stylistic and conceptual features;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. exploration of his personality through memories of colleagues and students.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
