In May 2026, the International Scientific and Theoretical Conference \u201cArt of the Turkic World: Historical and Cultural Heritage and Modernity\u201d was held in Andijan, Republic of Uzbekistan. Upon an official invitation addressed to the academy, Balnur Rakhymbayevna Karabalayeva, PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of History and Theory of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Art Studies of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov, participated in the conference on behalf of the academy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Travel and accommodation expenses for the business trip were funded by the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference was organized by the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Fine Arts and Design in partnership with TURKSOY and focused on issues related to the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic world, contemporary artistic processes, and the development of international academic cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the conference, Balnur Rakhymbayevna delivered a presentation entitled \u201cNeomythologemes in Contemporary Kazakh Painting: Artistic and Semantic Transformations,\u201d presenting research findings on the artistic features of neomythological imagery in contemporary Kazakh visual art and the transformation of its cultural and semantic meanings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference brought together leading scholars and art historians from T\u00fcrkiye, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan. Among the participants were Professor Ruhi Konak (T\u00fcrkiye), PhD Elchin Shamilli (Azerbaijan), Professor Tamara Kadirbayeva and Akjibek Beyshebayeva (Kyrgyzstan), and art historian Azat Annayev (Turkmenistan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The international conference provided an important platform for scholarly dialogue, professional exchange, and discussions on strengthening cultural and academic ties among the countries of the Turkic world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
