Round Table on the topic “Kazakhstan scenography in the era of transformation of cultural values and world trends”
On November 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the library hall of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, at the “scenography” department hosted a ROUND TABLE, devoted to the 75th anniversary of Esengeldi Tuyakov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Associated Professor of the scenography department, on the topic “Kazakhstan scenography in the era of transformation of cultural values and world trends” with the participation of public figures, theater experts, scenography researchers.
The following questions were discussed at the round table: A documentary film about the jubilees of Professor Yesengeldy Tuyakov. Doctor of Art History, Professor Sangul Karzhaubaeva made a report on the creativity and achievements of the talented stage designer. Well-known literary critic, laureate of the International Literary Prize “Alash” and the National Prize “Sakhnager” Alyia Bobezhanova focused on the creative achievements of theater artist Yesengeldy Tuyakov, since he came to the Mukhtar Auezov Kazakh National Drama Theater as a young specialist. Professor of Academy Aman Kulbaev congratulated the Honored Person of the day on his 75th Anniversary from the Academy of Arts. It was also noted how Yesengeldy Zhumagulovich raised the department of “Scenography”, which he founded with Professor Duisen Suleev, participated in the training of specialists.
Theater expert Sanyia Kabdieva analyzed the development trends of today’s scenography in Kazakhstan, the modern steps of theater artists in accordance with the needs of the time. Emphasizing the role of multimedia in scenography, she called for taking into account the compatibility of its use with professional directorial criteria. Training of theater lighting designers and heads of the production department, etc. Issues of scenography, public figures, theater director Aubakir Rakhimov were discussed. So the words about the continuity of the professional knowledge of the main artist of the M. Auezov National Drama Theater Murat Saparov were addressed to the students. Senior teacher Zhannat Baimukhanova presented archival data on the work of Professor Tuyakov from his master’s studies and demonstrated a presentation.
