On November 10, 2022 at 10.00 o’clock at  Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, Faculty of “Art History”, Department of “History and Theory of Fine Arts”, together with the Faculty of “Painting, Sculpture and Design”, Department of “Fine Arts”, an international scientific and practical conference “Sculpture of Kazakhstan: Past and Present” was held together with the Moscow V. I. Surikov State Academic Institute at Russian Academy of Arts. The international scientific and practical conference is dedicated to the work of sculptor, an Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Abishev Bakytzhan Alimbaevich. During the conference, scientific articles on the artistic heritage and contribution of sculptor Bakytzhan Alimbaevich devoted to the development of the art of sculpture of the country were read out, as well as his work and features of artistic manner were considered.
