An information session dedicated to recent developments in copyright and related rights will be held at the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts on 11 November 2026 at 2:30 p.m.
The event is organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the participation of representatives of the Almaty Branch of the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Kazpatent).
The session will cover:
- – key legislative changes in copyright and collective rights management;
- – procedures for tracking the use of musical works;
- – mechanisms for calculating and distributing royalties;
- – operation of the QazCopyright unified digital platform;
- – features of the right holder’s personal account;
- – registration procedures for authors and performers on the platform;
- – submission of information on works and objects of related rights.
Kazpatent specialists will present the platform’s functionality and provide practical guidance on registration and its use.
Faculty members and students of the Academy, composers, musicians, performers, producers, and other interested parties are invited to attend.
