From May 11 to May 15, 2026, Ainash Nauryzbayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Design and PhD holder, took part in an academic exchange at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (Poland) within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
As part of the programme, a series of lectures and practical workshops were organized for the Academy’s students. The lectures covered the historical aspects of Kazakh culture, art, and design, artistic values, and the development prospects of contemporary architectural environment design. The practical workshops focused on developing professional skills in creating interior environments using elements of ethnic ornamentation.
During the visit, a collection of proceedings from the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Visual Identity and Cultural Heritage: Preservation and Promotion”, held on April 22, 2025, at the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, was donated to the library fund of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts.
As a conclusion to the programme, a reporting exhibition of students participating in the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme was organized. The exhibition featured works in painting, graphics, sculpture, design, and animation graphics. Currently, our Academy’s third-year student, Moldir Maratova, is studying at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts under the “Animation” educational programme.
