On October 22, 2026, the Department of Fashion and Costume Design at the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts hosted a masterclass for students of the 6B02197 Fashion and Costume Design educational program, featuring Giovanni Ottonello, Art Director at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and consultant to international brands.

The event was held as part of EURASIAN FASHION WEEK 2026 under the theme “Designing the Unknown: From Concept to Creative Identity.”

During the masterclass, Giovanni Ottonello shared his professional experience in design and conceptual clothing development. Students explored approaches to developing creative ideas, designed their own clothing models, and received feedback from the guest expert.

The masterclass provided students with an opportunity to learn about international practices in the field of design, develop their creative thinking, and gain practical experience in conceptual design.

The event was organized by K. A. Nurmugambetova, a lecturer at the Department of Fashion and Costume Design.
