XI International Scientific and Practical Seminar “Faces of Memory. The latest technologies for the preservation and restoration of handwritten and printed heritage”
Professor of the department “History and Theory of Fine Arts”, Ph.D., museologist, ICOM member Musakhanova Madina from June 21-26, 2022 participated in the XI International Scientific and Practical Seminar “Faces of Memory. Newest technologies for the preservation and restoration of handwritten and printed heritage” in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia).
The seminar was held with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States (IFES) with the support of the Philharmonic Hall of Armenia and the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts. Restorers, curators of collections, museum and library workers, archivists, and specialists in high technologies from the CIS countries, Europe, and Georgia took part in the seminar.
Welcoming remarks were made by Republic of Armenia Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Araik Khzmalyan,
The seminar participants discussed problems in the sphere of preservation and restoration of cultural heritage and ways to resolve them.
At the end of the seminar M. Musakhanova was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her report “Features of Restoration of Personal Documents”.
