INFORMATION LETTER

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Design in the Era of Creative Industries», which will be held as part of the SCIENCE WEEK on April 11, 2023 at the Republican State Institution «Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts» Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The international conference is organized jointly with the National Institute of Design (Moscow, Russia).

The purpose of the conference is to provide a platform for discussing research, development, innovation and problems in the field of modern design as an activity at the intersection of science, art and industry. As well as providing opportunities for cooperation between designers-artists, entrepreneurs, researchers, students.

Foreign and domestic researchers and art historians in the field of design, professors and university teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates, bachelors and students are invited to participate in the conference. Public actors and art workers are also invited to the conference.

The Conference will work in the following areas:

• 1. Problems and prospects of development of education in the field of design;
• 2. Modern design in Kazakhstan: problems, concepts and directions, prospects of development;
• 3. Communication in art in the era of creative industries;
• 4. Digital technologies in modern design;
• 5. Visual arts as a necessity in the global world;
• 6. Scientific paradigms of art criticism and cultural relations;
• 7. The development of multimedia design in the context of the creative industry.
• 8. Fashion and society.

Official languages of the conference: kazakh, russian, english.

Requirements for materials: Text format: Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx). Orientation: portrait (landscape orientation is prohibited). Margins: upper and lower – 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right – 1.5 cm. Font: Times New Roman, size (size) – 14, line spacing: 1.5 Volume of work: 4-10 pages. The number of authors of one article: no more than 4. The originality of the text: at least 60%.

Terms of publication: The texts of articles and abstracts for the conference are accepted in electronic form until April 30, 2023 by e-mail: design.art.nai@gmail.com. The name of the file sent by email should consist of the conference cipher and the full name of the first author, for example: konf.design_23_Жургенов Т.К., (konf.design_23_ZhurgenovТ.К). A ready-made collection of conference materials in electronic form is provided to participants free of charge.

The materials must be carefully verified and edited. The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the facts stated in the article. Articles submitted after the specified deadline and not executed in accordance with the established procedure will not be included in the collection.

Design of the publication:

• 1. The title of the article in the original language (capital letters, bold font, centered alignment);
• 2. Full name of the author(s) (lowercase letters, bold font, right alignment);
• 3. Academic degree, academic title, position (right alignment);
• 4. Place of work (study) (right alignment);
• 5. Abstract in the original language (size 14, at least 30 words, width alignment);
• 6. Keywords (size 14, at least 5 words, width alignment);
• 7. Title of the article, full name of the author(s), abstract, keywords in Russian and English (the design is the same).
• 8. Through the line – the main text of the article (size 14, line spacing – 1.15, paragraph indentation – 1 cm, width alignment);
• 9. List of references: it is drawn up at the end of the article in the order of use of the source in the text under the title «List of references».  In the text, references to literature are indicated by square brackets indicating the source number and separated by commas – page numbers: [6, p. 114].  Page-by-page and endnotes are prohibited.

Pictures: Any graphic materials (drawing, scheme, diagram, picture) are indicated by the word «Fig. » and numbered with Arabic numerals. The name of the picture is located under the picture on the next line in the center and is highlighted in bold. Example: Fig. 1. The name of the picture

The drawing is separated from the text from the top and bottom by an empty line. All figures in the text should be referenced (Fig. 1).
