Master classes by traditional musicologists and performers from Central Asian countries within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Traditions of Oral Musical Professionalism and Modernity” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Doctor of Arts, Professor Mukhambetova A.I.

The second day of the conference, October 13, was dedicated to master classes by scientists and performers from the countries of Central Asia. In the first half of the day there were Master classes:

1. Abduvali Abdurashidov, Professor of the Department of History and Theory of the Uzbek Maqom, Institute of Uzbek National Musical Art named after Y. Rajabi and members of the ensemble Makom Academy of Tajikistan. Topic: “Shashmakom: problems of practical knowledge of the basics of music in the development of professional performing arts”.

2. Zufarov Abror, Associate Professor of the Department of Makom Instrumental Performance of the Institute of Uzbek National Musical Art named after Y. Rajabi and his student Abdurashidov Iskandar. Topic: “Tanbur and Sato: issues of performance and learning”.

1. Kurbanov Kalmyrza, employee of the Institute of Art Studies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, lecturer at the Uzbek State Conservatory; Ayapov Salamat, head of the art department of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh. Topic: “Issues of the modern system of education of Karakalpak zhyrau”.

On the afternoon of October 13, master classes were given by:

1. Roman Salankhanov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Altai, teacher of the highest qualification category. Topic: “Kai – cherished knowledge and problems of teaching Altai traditional musicians” (online)

2. Kuchen Ai Charykh Sayyn, People’s Artist of the Republic of Khakassia, Honored Artist of the Republic of Khakassia. Topic: “Khakassian heroic epic: problems of existence, performance, learning”.

3. Tumat Choduraa, People’s Khomeizhi of the Republic of Tuva, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tuva, teacher at Tuva State University. Topic: “The technique of Tuvan throat singing” khoomei “and Tuvan string instruments (igil, chanza, byzanchy)”.

4. Bakchiev Talantaaly, Doctor of Philology, Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, President of the National Academy “Manas” and Chingiz Aitmatov; Begaliev Esenbol, manaschi; Sarbanova Turdukan, singer, soloist of the El yrchysy Estebes group. Topic: “Performing tradition of the narrator-manaschi”.
