On April 15, 2026, the VI City Student Forum of leading universities in Almaty was held at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov. The forum was organized by the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences and serves as an annual interuniversity platform bringing together students from various academic fields.

In 2026, teams from six universities participated, including Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Caspian University, and Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov.

The goal of the forum was to develop students’ intellectual, scientific, entrepreneurial, and creative potential. The forum was structured around three main tracks:

Intellectual game “IQ Session” (knowledge of Kazakh history and culture);

Startup competition “StartUp Generation” (project and entrepreneurial thinking);

Creative contest “Be The Best” (theatrical performances on the theme “One Day”). The forum concluded with a student concert program and an award ceremony.

Grand Prix – “Abylai Khan” (KazUIR&WL)

1st place – “Ibn Sina” (KazNMU)

2nd place –  “Adilet” (Caspian University), “Skyline” (KazNWTTU)

3rd place – “Golden Minds” (KazNMU), “Oner Tarlandary” (KazNAA)

The forum confirmed its role as an important interuniversity platform contributing to the development of students’ academic, professional, and creative competencies.
