2nd concert of the Festival of Traditional Music of the Peoples of Central Asia, held within the framework of International scientific and practical Conference

“Traditions of oral musical professionalism and modernity” for the 80th anniversary of Doctor of Art History, Professor Mukhambetova A.I.

On October 13, at the Educational Theater at 18.30, the 2nd concert of the Festival of Traditional Music of the Peoples of Central Asia took place.

The program of the 2nd concert of the Festival included traditional music of the western and southern regions of Central Asia (nomadic, semi-nomadic and sedentary peoples) – Kazakhstan (western regions), Turkmenistan, Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Northern India.

Salamat Ayapov, Zhyrau, Head of the Department of Arts, Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh (Karakalpak epic tradition with kobuz)
Abror Zufarov, Associate Professor of the Department of History and Theory of the Uzbek Maqom, Institute of Uzbek National Musical Art named after Y. Rajabi (Uzbek instrumental tradition – tanbur and sato)
Ensemble of the Maqom Academy of Tajikistan consisting of: Abduvali Abdurashidov (leader of the ensemble, sato), People’s Artist of Tajikistan, head of the Maqom Academy of Tajikistan; Ozoda Ashurova (traditional singing with doira accompanied by an ensemble), People’s Artist of Tajikistan; Zoir Khaydarov (traditional singing accompanied with tanbur and doira), head of the department of singing heritage of the Tajik National Conservatory named after T. Sattorova; Dilrabo Abdurashidova (dutar), 2nd year master student at the Institute of Uzbek National Musical Art named after. Y. Rajabi; Iskandar Abdurashidov (tanbur), 2nd year student of the Uzbek National Musical Art Institute named after. Y. Rajabi.
