XIV INTERNATIONAL CONTEST OF YOUNG CHOREOGRAPHERS NAMED AFTER R. V. ZAKHAROV “MARIA”
The XIV International Competition for Young Choreographers named after R. Zakharov “Maria” was held on April 19-21, 2023 at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – GITIS in Moscow (Russia). The students of the 3d year of the “Ballet Master” chair of the “Choreography” faculty of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov Suleimenova Dalila and Verbova Bogdan took part in this competition.
Students and masters students of universities from Russia and Kazakhstan, leading training in the field of choreographic art and education took part in the competition program, among them: Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – GITIS (Moscow, Russia), Moscow State Institute of Culture (Moscow, Russia), A. Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Saint-Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Saint-Petersburg State University of Trade Unions (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Saint-Petersburg State Pedagogical University named after A. Herzen (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Gertsen (Saint-Petersburg, Russia).
As a result of creative competition our students have achieved the following results:
– Special Jury prize “For musical embodiment of choreography” – Suleimenova Dalila, 3 course BI student of “Ballet Art” chair of “Choreography” faculty of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov
– The prize-winner of the 2nd degree – Bogdan Verbovoy, the 3rd year student of the BI course of “Ballet-mastering art” chair of “Choreography” faculty at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov.
Choreographic compositions choreographed by students-contestants in the course of the competition were performed by Auelbek Dina (3rd year student of PH Department “Choreography Pedagogy”) and Verbov Bogdan (3rd year student of BI Department “Ballet Art”).
Participation of students in the competition was prepared by responsible supervisors from among the teachers of the faculty “Choreography” of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Temirbek Zhurgenov Gulnara Nadymovna Gabbasova (senior teacher of “Ballet-master art” chair) and Dmitry Valentinovich Sushkov (professor of “Ballet-master art” chair).
