Professorial and teaching staff
The Department of “Stage Speech” of T.Zhurgenov KazNAI was founded in 1982 at the Alma-Ata State Theater and Art Institute at the “Theater” Faculty. The first head of the department was an “Excellent student of Education” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the winner of the medal “I. Altynsarina”, Associate Professor (VAKA), Professor Omarbayeva Mayra Smagulovna.
In subsequent years, the department of “Stage speech” was headed by “Madeniyet kayratkeri”, Professor Murat Naztayevich Abzelbayev, “Excellent Student of Education” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Chinar Azaevna Bersugurova.
Since 1994, the department has been headed by “Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, winner of the medal “Eren enbegi ushin”, “Excellent Student of Education” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician KNAEN, Professor Turankulova Dariha Turankulovna.
The founders and luminaries of the Stage Speech Department are Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, Professor Kanybayeva R.M., Professor Turankulova D.T., Professor Omarbayeva M.S., Professor Abzelbayev M.N., Associate Professor Gorbashova T.V.
In subsequent years, the department expanded and was replenished with masters of the stage, who are the pride of the art of Kazakhstan — Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR M. Zhaksymbetova, People’s Artists of Kazakhstan – N.Myshbaeva, G.Aspetova, Honored Artists of Kazakhstan – M.Murataliev, T.Tasybekova, A.Kenzhekov, R.Sattarova, R.V.Lim, G.Kazakbayeva, A.Boranbayev, E.M.Zadereushko, Honored Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan – S.Zhakan, O.Kenebaev, S.Merekeuly, Zh.Meiramova, Professor Ch.Bersugurova, Sh.Baltayeva, I.al.
Currently, among the teachers at the department of “Stage speech” there is 1 academician of KNAEN,1 People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan,1 winner of the medal “S.Altynsarin”, 2 Cultural Worker, 2 Labor Veteran, 1 Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), 6 Honored Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 “Excellent Students of Education” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 5 professors, 5 associate professors, 1 candidate of Art History, 5 senior teachers, 11 teachers, 7 masters, 1 concertmaster,1 Head of the phonetics department, 1 secretary.
All teachers of the department are members of the “Union of Theatrical Figures” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, high professionals in their field, recognized masters of theater and cinema, radio and television. They tirelessly improve and increase their knowledge, combining theory with practice, approaching from a scientific point of view, pass on the art of Word mastery to future masters of theater and cinema, and produce highly qualified professionals.

- “Actor of the speech genre”, the subject is also studied depending on the faculty: “Stage speech”, “Skill of the actor of the spoken genre”, “Culture and technique of speech”, “Culture of speech”.
In Kazakh, Russian, Uighur, German, Korean groups, stage speech is conducted in their national language.
In 2011, the first set of the course “Actor of the speech genre” was held, which is led by Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor D.T.Turankulova
Students of the department receive the necessary basic and in-depth theoretical knowledge and professional skills. They can work in many fields of art: in drama, music, puppet theaters, on radio and TV as announcers, entertainers, presenters, be masters of speech, dubbing, can also teach in specialized secondary and higher educational institutions, can work in research centers, laboratories, institutes.
