On January 16, 2026, the Faculty of Choreography held the VIII Republican Competition of Young Choreographers «ULY DALA ZHASTARY». Thirty-three applicants from eight cities of Kazakhstan took part in the first stage of the competition: Aktobe, Almaty, Atyrau, Baikonur, Karaganda, Petropavlovsk, Semey, and Taraz. Twenty-three applicants took part in the second and third stages.
