On May 30, 2025, during the “Central Asia – Italy” summit held in Astana, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni elevated cooperation in the field of higher education to a new level.

As a result of this meeting, the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and Italy’s Saint Louis College of Music jointly launched the international project “Playing Memories”.

The final stage of the project, which continued in Kazakhstan, took place on July 8 in Almaty at the Kuddus Kuzhamyarov Republican State Academic Uighur Musical Comedy Theater. Young performers from both countries presented the “Pinocchio” performance to the Almaty audience.

This production is only the beginning of a long-term collaboration. The creative partnership will continue to develop in the future.
