The Little Black Dress (LBD) stands as one of the paramount cults in the history of fashion, an undeniable must-have in every woman’s wardrobe, and a symbol of conflicting concepts such as freedom and conservatism, feminism and femininity, classicism and innovation, universality and uniqueness, simplicity and luxury. Each season, the little black dress finds new life in the collections of renowned fashion houses and emerging designers, reflecting the spirit of the current time and forecasting the future. During the lecture, we will attempt to unravel the secrets of creating and enduring relevance of LBD, as well as take a look at the 100-year history of fashion through the lens of the little black dress.
