On September 17, 2026, a concert evening entitled “Mentorship That Lives on in Song” was held in honor of Professor Zhunis Maksut Orazuly, a distinguished teacher of the Department of Solo Singing at the Faculty of Theatre Arts.

The evening opened with a documentary film dedicated to Professor Zhunis Maksut Orazuly’s life and creative and pedagogical journey. The film presented his professional career in the arts, his years of teaching, and his significant contribution to the education and development of his students.

The congratulatory part of the evening began with welcoming remarks by Vice-Rector for Academic and Academic Methodological Affairs Shyngys Kulbekuly Yergobek. The event was also attended by Zharas Shotbekuly Kaldarov, Director of the Akmola Regional Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre, who specially joined the evening and conveyed his heartfelt wishes and words of appreciation to the professor.

The concert programme featured students of the professor from different years, including G.B. Saimassayeva, U. Zhamalbek, Zh. Zhazilbekov, N. Kadyrbayev, A. Sakhaman, A. Akipbayev, M. Rakhmet, S. Temir, A. Omirzakov, A. Baylin, M. Abdilda, as well as many other students.

The programme included solo vocal performances and excerpts from musicals. Through their performances, the students expressed their sincere gratitude, deep respect and warm feelings towards their mentor, highlighting the significance of his long-standing contribution to the arts and education.

“Mentorship That Lives on in Song” was a meaningful cultural event that highlighted the spiritual continuity between teacher and students, a shared love of art, and the enduring legacy of a teacher that continues through the creative work of his students.
