Present were: members of the dissertation council, scientific consultants, the head of the OPNC, graduates of previous years.
During the meeting, the degree of readiness of doctoral dissertations of current doctoral students was analyzed and the reasons for the late defense of graduates of previous years were considered.
3 graduates of the doctoral program from previous years spoke.
The following problematic aspects have been identified:
Failure to comply with the schedule for preparing dissertation chapters;
Insufficient number of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals;
Delays in registration and testing of research results;
Decrease in scientific activity after completion of the study period (for graduates of previous years).
Among the main reasons for the late defense are the high professional workload, the need to finalize dissertation research, as well as the insufficient level of methodological and publication readiness.
Recommendations for doctoral students:
- Strictly follow the approved individual dissertation preparation plan.
- To intensify publishing activities and ensure compliance with established requirements.
- Systematically present the results of the work done to the scientific consultant.
- Complete the preparation of the main sections of the dissertation on time.
- To ensure the timely passage of the preliminary examination and pre-defense.
In general, the need to strengthen the personal responsibility of doctoral students for the timely completion of dissertation research and submission of papers for defense was noted.
