on the topic “TIME FOR SCIENCE” as part of the WEEK OF SCIENCE

On the first day of the opening of the WEEK OF SCIENCE on the topic: “National sovereignty and personality in history: Temirbek Zhurgenov” – on April 10, 2023, an event was held by the Council of Young Scientists of the Academy “Time for Science”. The purpose of the event was to familiarize students with innovations in the field of modern research in the artistic direction.

The event was moderated by Malika Sanat, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, who introduced the speakers and supported the course of the event. The event was attended by speakers from different universities who made presentations on various topics:

● Mariam Nazhanova, speaker from KIMEP University, made a presentation “Neural network: a new language of art”. She explained how the application of neural networks in art can lead to the development of new art forms and the creation of a new artistic language. She also introduced all listeners to the history of artificial intelligence and its impact on contemporary art.

● Victoria Barbotko, speaker of the Almaty University of Management, made a presentation “Museums and Digitalization: Ways to Promote Art in the Modern Era”. She highlighted the role of digital technologies in the preservation and promotion of art, and how museums can use digital technologies to make art more accessible to a wider audience.

● Ansar Askarov, master’s student at the Department of Art Management, Temirbek Zhurgenov KazNAA, made a presentation “NFT. A new stage in the history of art”. He talked about how NFT (Fungible Token) can revolutionize the art industry by allowing artists to monetize their work more efficiently and transparently.

It is worth noting that the event provided an opportunity to combine science and art. The speakers’ presentations demonstrated the potential of technology to revolutionize the art industry and make it more accessible to a wider audience. It also emphasized the importance of preserving art and culture through the use of digital technologies.

In general, the “Time for Science” event achieved its goals of developing cooperation, creating a friendly environment for combining science and art, and familiarizing students with the latest developments in contemporary art research. The event ended with the concluding speech of the vice-rector for scientific work Kabil Zamanbekovich Khalykov, who rewarded participants for their contributions. The event also served as a platform to bring students and researchers together to exchange ideas and develop new research projects.

In conclusion, the “Time for Science” event was a successful initiative that brought together leading research universities in Almaty and promoted collaboration between them.
