From May 15 to 17, 2023, the III International Open-air Student Competition among higher educational institutions “Qyzğaldaq-2023” was held at the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, organized by the Department of Exhibitions and Storage of Creative Works and the Department of Fine Arts.

24 students from 6 countries who passed the first qualifying round took part in the competition “Qyzğaldaq-2023” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Temirbek Zhurgenov. On the first day of the plein air, the participants had the task to show the urban flavor of Almaty, and on the second day to convey the beauty of the Charyn State National Natural Park.
