Students of the Faculty of Choreography became laureates of the International Ballet Competition

On October 16-22, 2023 in Sochi (Russia) the IX International Competition of Yuri Grigorovich «Young Ballet of the World» was held. Bogdan Verbovoy, 4th year student of the faculty «Choreography», department «Ballet Master’s Art» won the 1st place.

The 1st year student of the faculty «Choreography», chair «Pedagogy of Choreography» Eskali Kaskyrbay won the 2nd place.

Bekbolatova Akbota, 2nd year student of the faculty «Choreography», department «Pedagogy of Choreography» became a diploma holder of the competition.

The contestants were trained by Gulzhan Usambekovna Tutkibayeva, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Artistic Director of the ballet company of the Abay Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater, Professor of the Ballet Master’s Art Department. Tutkibaeva G. U. was invited to the competition as a member of the jury and gave a lesson on classical dance for the contestants.
