On October 23 in Cinema hall Yulia V. Sorokina, Associate Professor of the Department of Art Management and Producing, held a seminar on the use of the open portal of the Getty Research Institute (USA, Los Angeles) and the publication of a digital edition (e-book, website).
The seminar was attended by teachers of the Academy, doctoral students, master’s students and students.
The head of the scientific and editorial department Zhanna D. Ramadanova opened the seminar and gave the floor to Yulia V. Sorokina, Associate Professor of the Department of Art Management and Producing, PhD in art history.
Yulia Sorokina, who participated in the international research project “Getty Scholar in the 2023-2024 academic year”, gave a presentation on the topic “Open portal of the Getty Research Institute & Digitally Born Publications”.
She explained to the audience how to use the portal of the open library of the Getty Research Institute (https://portal.getty.edu/).
Yulia Sorokina also introduced the audience to the Getty Institute’s “Quire” tool for creating a free e-book and publishing it on the institute’s website (https://quire.getty.edu/community/community-showcase/), as well as the Brown University digital publications website, which allows you to publish a monograph on a competitive and paid basis (https://library.brown.edu/create/digitalpublications/publications/).
At the end of the seminar, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the Republican competition of scientific research works of spring 2024.
