On 17.01.2025 the faculty of «Choreography» held VII Republican competition of young choreographers ULY DALA ZHASTARY. The competition was attended by 41 applicants from 10 regions of Kazakhstan: Almaty, Atyrau, Balkhash, Semey, Kostanai, Konaev, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Shymkent, Taraz. Twenty-five participants qualified for the second and third rounds.

Jury:

• 1. Gabbasova Gulmira — Chairman of jury, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, associate professor of the department «Ballet Master’s Art», dean of the faculty «Choreography»;
• 2. Sushkov Dmitry — Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Associate Professor, Professor of the Ballet Master’s Art Department;
• 3. Goncharova Natalia — Honored Artist of KazSSR, professor of the chair «Pedagogy of Choreography»;
• 4. Kim Larisa — Chevalier of the Order «Dostyk» II degree, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of «Pedagogy of Choreography»;
• 5. Moldakhmetova Alima — Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), senior lecturer, head of the department «Ballet Master’s Art»;
• 6. Aukhadiev Ilzat — Master of Arts, Senior Lecturer, Head of the Chair «Pedagogy of Choreography»;
• 7. Svetlana Malivanova — Master of Arts, lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy of Choreography.

The first qualifying round of the contest was held online — viewing of the contestants’ videos.

The second round of the competition — classical dance training. The lesson was conducted by the teacher, deputy head of the Department of «Pedagogy of Choreography» Likucheva Natalia. Concertmaster — Dosmukhambetova Asiya. The round was held on the stage of the Educational Theater of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts. There are four nominations in the competition: «Pedagogy of choreography», «Pedagogy of modern choreography», «The Pedagogy of Ballroom Dance», «Ballet master’s art».

Nomination «Pedagogy of Choreography»:

• 1st place — Kasymkhan Alisher (Almaty, Alexander Seleznev Almaty Choreographic School)
• 2nd place — Danko Polina (Shymkent, Music College)
• 3rd place — Valeeva Darina (Atyrau, Nurgisa Tlendiev Specialized boarding school-gymnasium)
• 3rd place — Ayapbergen Ayana (Atyrau, Nurgisa Tlendiev Specialized boarding school-gymnasium).

Nomination «Pedagogy of modern choreography»:

• 1st place — Svintsova Ruslana (Almaty)
• 2nd place — Karimbay Zhanerke (Almaty)
• 3rd place — Dzhakova Dilyara (Pavlodar)

Nomination «Pedagogy of ballroom dance»:

• 1st place — Iskhakov Daniil (Almaty)
• 2nd place — Edenbaeva Anel (Konaev)
• 2nd place — Konoplina Milena (Almaty)
• 3rd place — Bakytzhan Tomiris (Almaty)

Nomination “Ballet Art”:

1st place — Bychek Alina (Semey, M. Tulebaev Musical College)
