On November 30, 2021, Vice-Rector for Research Kabyl Khalykov took part in a gala concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Professor of the Department of Choreography Pedagogy Lyudmila Zhuikova.

Prof. Lyudmila A. Zhuikova — candidate of art history, excellent teacher of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the Order of the Orthodox Church — has been working at the academy since 1996 since the entry of the Higher School of Choreography into the structure of the university as a faculty. She devoted her whole life to pedagogy in secondary and higher educational institutions of Almaty.

In December 2021, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on awarding Lyudmila Zhuikova with the state award “Khalyk alkysy” (“People’s gratitude”).
