On May 31, from 11:30 to 13:00, the session of the II section was held in the academic theater of the Academy within the framework of the meeting held on May 30-31, 2023 The international congress of cultural and art workers «Turkish culture: common origins and special features of development», devoted to the 125th anniversary of Temirbek Jurgenov. At the meeting of the II section entitled «Idea Turan» in the visual arts of the Turkic world» with the participation of teachers and graduate students of the faculty «Painting, sculpture and design», as well as guests, the following reports were heard:

- Beristenov Zhanarbek T. – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Publishing, Editorial and Design Arts of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University – «The direction of Turan romanticism in art is one of the directions that shakes the national revival and ideas in art»;
- Ali Baktygereev – master of painting, artist, teacher at the O. Tansykbaev Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts, Laureate of the Turan International Art Prize – «Search for national style in Kazakh visual art (artists of the 1960s)»;
- Tainov Serik A. – master painter, artist, senior lecturer of the «Fine Arts» department of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, laureate of the Turan International Art Prize – «Turkic Mythology in Fine Arts»;
