On November 7, 2023, a round table was held jointly organized by the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture of the Temirbek Zhyrgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and the Department of History and Theory of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art History. The guest of the evening was Kilybaev Nurlan Atalykuly, a famous artist, member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, laureate of the “Talent” award, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, Associate Professor of the Department of Painting at the Abai Kazakh State University.

       Most of the works of Nurlan Kilybayev, a prominent representative of modern Kazakh fine art, are distinguished by their content, glorifying our national culture and traditions. Recently, the artist has made a great contribution to the revival of images of important events and geniuses of the last century in his compositions performed in the historical genre. Among them are “Muklay Jalair”, “My Otanim”, “Aktaban Shubyrindy”, “Amanat”, “Altyn Arai”, “Oath to the Principality”, “Nurlanu”, “Blue Wolf”, “Khoja Akhmet Yasaui”, “Bopai” and etc.

      During the meeting, students became acquainted with the master’s work and expanded their knowledge of Russian fine arts.
